Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov has fully recovered from his injury and may take to the field tomorrow, October 29, in the League Cup match against Swansea. The news was announced by the team’s head coach, Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola shared his thoughts on Khusanov’s condition.
“Khusanov has recovered from his injury; he’s ready. He will play for a few minutes tomorrow,” said the coach.
It is worth noting that earlier Khusanov had recovered from his injury and returned to team training. A few weeks ago, he sustained a leg injury during the match against Arsenal. Since then, he has undergone rehabilitation under medical supervision and followed all medical recommendations.
As previously reported, Abdukodir Khusanov, who plays for both the Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City, became the most expensive defender in Asia. The market value of South Korean defender Kim Min-jae, who plays for Bayern Munich, dropped from 40 million euros to 32 million euros. Following this change, the Uzbek player, valued at 35 million euros, became the continent’s most expensive defender.
