German ambassador bids farewell to Uzbekistan in Uzbek (video)

Germany's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Manfred Huterer, has concluded his diplomatic mission in the country and delivered a farewell message in Uzbek. Saying he is leaving Uzbekistan with "unforgettable memories," the ambassador expressed gratitude for the cooperation and hospitality he received. A video of his address was published on the German Embassy's Instagram page.

"My mission in Uzbekistan has come to an end. We are leaving Tashkent with countless unforgettable memories and deep affection for this beautiful country and your hospitality," Manfred Huterer said.

He thanked Uzbekistan for its cooperation, support, and friendship, adding that the memories of the time he spent in the country would remain with him for the rest of his life.

"See you again, Uzbekistan!" the ambassador said in his farewell message.

On July 15, Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, announced that he had held a farewell meeting with Manfred Huterer. During the meeting, the two sides noted that political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Germany had been strengthened during the ambassador's tenure, high-level visits had been successfully organized, and multifaceted bilateral cooperation had reached a new stage.

During his time in Uzbekistan, Manfred Huterer made several public addresses in Uzbek. Notably, he congratulated the people of Uzbekistan in Uzbek on the country's 34th Independence Day and recited a poem in Uzbek during the Navruz celebrations.

Manfred Huterer had served as Germany's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan since 2024. During his tenure, a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries were implemented.
