Business entities with high ratings exempt from tax audits

In Uzbekistan, business entities with a high stability rating are now exempt from tax audits. The Ministry of Justice announced this on November 16.

The update comes after amendments were made to the Tax Code through a law signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 15.

The law introduces several incentives for business entities with a high stability rating. These include:

• Refunds of overpaid taxes (excluding VAT) will be processed within 3 days for businesses with high ratings.
• Businesses rated "AAA" will not undergo tax audits, except those conducted within the framework of criminal investigations. VAT refunds for these businesses will be processed within 1 day, without the need for audits.

Additionally, it was previously announced that starting from October 1, 2024, 20 percent of the tax paid to the budget will be refunded to businesses providing tour operator and hotel services.
