Elmira Bositxonova has not left the Health Ministry

Earlier, we reported that Elmira Erkinovna Bositxonova had been relieved of her post as deputy health minister. According to a QALAMPIR.UZ source, Bositxonova has been serving as an adviser to the minister since May 6 this year.
It is noted that Bositxonova has started work as adviser to the Minister of Health on maternal and child protection. The official order on the appointment was signed on May 15.
For reference, Elmira Bositxonova was born on November 10, 1958, in Tashkent. In 1981, she graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute with a degree in general medicine.
From 1981 to 2011, she worked first as an intern, then as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator, and later as a department head and chief physician at the Tashkent Emergency Medical Care Clinical Hospital.
In June 2011, she was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and chairwoman of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.
From December 12, 2016, she served as Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan.
From June 2019 to February 19, 2020, she also served as Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and chairwoman of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.
In 2020, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev appointed her as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan of the fourth convocation.
Since February 2020, Bositxonova had worked as First Deputy Minister of Mahalla and Family Affairs of Uzbekistan.
From July 3, 2020, to May 5, 2026, she served as First Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that Eldor Odilov was earlier appointed Minister of Health of Uzbekistan.
