In 2025, a total of 879,599 live births were recorded in Uzbekistan, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The number of births by region is as follows:
- Samarkand region – 106,266
- Kashkadarya region – 99,656
- Fergana region – 98,319
- Surkhandarya region – 81,885
- Andijan region – 79,672
- Namangan region – 75,689
- Tashkent region – 64,245
- Tashkent city – 62,318
- Khorezm region – 46,056
- Bukhara region – 43,654
- Republic of Karakalpakstan – 39,277
- Jizzakh region – 37,393
- Navoi region – 24,127
- Syrdarya region – 21,042
It is worth noting that earlier, the Ministry of Justice reported that 884,500 children were born in Uzbekistan in 2025. This indicates a discrepancy of more than 5,000 births between the data provided by the National Statistics Committee and the Ministry of Justice.
