Samarkand schoolboy dies in fatal car crash

4985A tragic accident occurred in the Jomboy district of the Samarkand region when an 11th-grade schoolboy lost control of his Lacetti car and crashed into a tree. The regional Road Safety Department confirmed the incident.
On February 12, the boy, born in 2007, who was a student at school No. 54 in the district, was driving his Lacetti car on the road through the "Sherkurgan" neighborhood. He reportedly lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and crashed into a tree.
As a result of the collision, the young man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Despite the medical efforts to save him, the boy succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital.
This incident comes shortly after another fatal accident in the Surkhandarya region, where an 8-year-old boy died after being struck by a Damas car in the Termez district. The boy, a 1st-grade student of school No. 17, was hit on the 1610th kilometer of the M-41 highway.
