Ziroat Mirziyoyeva meets with wife of Albanian leader

A meeting was held on June 16, at the Kuksaroy residence between First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and First Lady of Albania Armanda Begaj as part of the official visit of the President of Albania to Uzbekistan. Mirziyoyeva wrote about this on her Telegram channel.

During the meeting, which took place in an open and sincere atmosphere, the wives of the two heads of state discussed strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Albania, as well as further expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

As part of the cultural program, the high-ranking guest was introduced to examples of works by Uzbek applied arts masters, including wood carving, the ancient suzani embroidery technique and traditional pottery.

One of the highlights of the program was a display of traditional Uzbek clothing, as well as a presentation of the Kelin salom ceremony, reflecting features specific to various regions of Uzbekistan. The high-ranking guest expressed sincere interest in the national traditions and customs of the Uzbek people and particularly emphasized their deep historical roots, beauty and uniqueness.

Earlier, on June 16, an official welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence for President of Albania Bajram Begaj, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed the high-ranking guest and invited him to the podium.
