A criminal case is opened in connection with the beating of a journalist and a cameraman

Yesterday, August 14, we reported that Zo’rTV reporter and cameraman were beaten.  A criminal case was initiated in connection with the situation.  This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shahrukh Ghiyosov.

It is noted that a criminal case was initiated in connection with the incident by the Department of Ensuring Security in Transport and Tourism Facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under Part 1 of Article 277 of the Criminal Code.  An investigation is currently underway.

The fact is that on August 12 this year, a TV channel journalist and cameraman went to investigate the reasons for the collapse of five girders of the overpass under construction near the airport.  During the process, the company’s business manager N.E.  strongly resisted, injured TV channel employees and damaged technical equipment.

Later N.E.  He was fired with the relevant articles of the Labor Code.

After this incident, the Information and Mass Communications Agency strongly condemned this act.
