Earlier, it was reported that the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning regarding the potential dangers of Cold Out cough syrup produced in India. In light of this warning, the Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products under the Ministry of Health has provided an official response.

According to the WHO, the "Cold Out" syrup was manufactured by "Fourrts Laboratories" in India for "Dabilife Pharma" and was found to contain toxins.

Additionally, information from the Ministry of Health of India indicates that this medication was withdrawn from the open market after failing to meet quality requirements during separate tests conducted in Iraq.

The Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products stated that this medication is not registered in Uzbekistan and reassured citizens that they should not be alarmed by the news circulating on social networks.

"The composition of drugs in syrup form produced within our country and imported will undergo comprehensive testing for the presence of toxic substances such as diethylene glycol (DEG) and ethylene glycol (EG) starting from February 2023. The Ministry of Health will establish strict control in this regard," the message states.

For your information, the "Dok-1 Max" syrup produced by the Indian pharmaceutical company Marion Biotech resulted in the deaths of 20 children in Uzbekistan. Subsequently, it was revealed that the company used a toxic substance that is typically utilized at an industrial level in the production of medicines.

We would like to remind you that, in accordance with the decree of the Pharmaceutical Network Development Agency of the Ministry of Health on December 22, 2022, it was determined that "Dok-1 Max" drugs should be removed from pharmacies.
