Another flash flood hits Jizzakh (video)

Today, June 7, a powerful flash flood struck the area of the Davlat neighborhood in the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region. This was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department.

According to the report, between 16:00 and 17:00, floodwaters formed as a result of heavy rainfall in the "Molguzar" mountains flowed through flood channels in the territory of Davlat neighborhood and discharged into the Sangzor River. The department stated that there were no casualties.

"As a result of the incident, no damage was caused to citizens, residential buildings, household plots, social facilities, or roads," the official statement reads.

It was also noted that the Emergency Situations Department has established constant communication with flood monitoring posts across the region, and the situation remains under full control.

However, videos circulating on social media appear to show the floodwaters were quite strong. Many users also claim that livestock was washed away by the flood, although the department has not officially confirmed these reports.

It should be recalled that earlier, a flood in the Zamin district of Jizzakh caused a section of road to be blocked by sand and stones.
