A new gold mine has been discovered in Jizzakh, what is the truth?

News has spread on social networks about the discovery of a gold mine in Gallaorol district of Jizzakh region.  It was reported that the newly discovered mine was included in the state balance sheet and had a reserve of 175 tons.  However, the Ministry of Mining and Geology has denied these reports.

Apparently, the information about a newly discovered gold mine in the Marjonbulok Mountains in the eastern branch of the Southern Nurota Mountains of Gallaorol, does not correspond to the truth.

The Ministry mentioned that there are consequences for spreading false information among the population.

It is worth noting that in April 2022, the Balpantog and Tomdibuloq mines with more than 40 million tons of gold-rich ore reserves were opened in the Muruntov mine in the Tomdi district of the Navoi region.  It is planned to extract more than 3 million tons of ore per year for about 15 years.
