6890A 31-year-old businessman was arrested in the Sharof Rashidov district of the Jizzakh region for adding stone chips to bran, which is intended for livestock feed, and selling it to the public. This was reported by the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
The suspect, identified as S.Sh, was found to have mixed stone chips with bran products before marketing them to citizens. During a swift operation by the regional police department, an inspection of the premises belonging to the head of the "Mustang Kaytmas" farm revealed 80 tons of bran that had been contaminated with small stones and packaged in bags.
Further examination by the State Center for Diagnosis of Animal Diseases and Food Products determined that the fodder was unfit for livestock consumption.
Additionally, investigators discovered that the facility where the product was produced had been misclassified as a residential house in an attempt to evade taxes and utility payments. Although there were offices and a designated eating area for workers, the building lacked proper living conditions.
In response to this situation, the Investigative Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Jizzakh region has initiated a criminal case, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has urged anyone who may have purchased products from this LLC to contact the emergency number 102 or the following numbers: (93) 303-51-57 or (97) 523-38-31.
