The Number of Uzbek Boxers Proceeding to the World Cup Quarter Finals Increases

The ninth day of the World Senior Boxing Championship hosted by the city of Tashkent has concluded. In the 9th of May program, 5 boxers from Uzbekistan entered the ring.

Hasanboy Dosmatov, the champion of the Rio-2016 Olympic Games in -51 kg category won 5:0 against his old rival Cuban Erislan Romero in the daytime program.  In the -71 kg category, Saidjamshid Jafarov's Puerto Rican opponent did not enter the ring, so he automatically advanced to the quarter-finals.

In the evening program in -54 kg catagory, Oybek Jorayev did not give Albanian Ariol Zeneli a chance, beating him 5:0.  In the -67 kg weight category, Asadkhoja Moydinkhojayev defeated Kirill Samadurau from Belarus with an absolute advantage.  Alokhan Abdullayev completed the participation of Uzbek boxers on 9th May in -75 kg weight category.  He beat Serbian Almir Memic 4-0 and went to the next stage of the competition.
