Javokhir Sindarov triumphs at international chess tournament in Sweden

5149The Tepe Sigeman & Co Chess 2025 tournament took place in Malmö, Sweden, from May 20 to 26. Uzbek chess player Javokhir Sindarov emerged as the winner, according to the Uzbekistan Chess Federation.
The tournament followed a 7-round round-robin format based on FIDE regulations. Eight of the world's top grandmasters representing eight countries participated in the competition.
In this high-level event, Javokhir Sindarov secured victories against international grandmasters Tan Chjun and Erwin L’Ami. He also drew games with leading chess players Ray Robson, Nils Grandelius, Vasyl Ivanchuk, and Yagiz Kaan Erdogmush. Sindarov scored 4.5 out of 7 points and claimed first place with a performance rating of 2741.
It is worth noting that Javokhir Sindarov recently signed a contract with the world-renowned esports team "Vitality".
