New district governor appointed in Jarkurgan

Ilhom Ochilovich Saparov has been appointed governor of Jarkurgan district in Surkhandarya region, the district administration’s press service reported.
According to the statement, an extraordinary session of the Jarkurgan District Council of People’s Deputies was held. The governor of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Kosimov, attended the session and spoke about ongoing efforts to support the district’s socio-economic development, as well as future priority tasks.
During the session, it was announced that Elmurod Avazov had been relieved of his duties as governor of the district.
The regional leader proposed the candidacy of Ilhom Saparov for the position of district governor, and the nomination was approved by the deputies of the district council.
For reference, Ilhom Saparov was born in 1975 in Termez district. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Termez State University in 2002 and completed his master’s degree in 2011.
Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions in the Surkhandarya regional departments of secondary specialized and vocational education, public education, and culture. Prior to his appointment, he served as a deputy governor of Surkhandarya region.
Earlier, on March 4, at the 21st extraordinary session of the Takhiatash District Council of People’s Deputies, Islombek Murodboevich Sidiqov was appointed governor of that district.
