Person attempting to sell state land arrested in Surkhandarya

A citizen has been detained for trying to sell 40 acres of state-owned land for 200 million soums in Jarkorghan district of Surkhandarya region, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
According to the information, based on a complaint by citizen U.Ch. to the local land resources anti-theft division, the regional prosecutor’s office, and other law enforcement agencies conducted an urgent operation. During the operation, a cadastral office employee, U.B., allegedly colluded with citizen B.R. to sell the 40 acres of state land in the Ismoiltepa neighborhood of Jarkorghan district for 200 million soums and to issue cadastral documents for 4 million soums. The individuals were caught in the act with material evidence while receiving the agreed 204 million soums.
A criminal case has been opened under part 3, clauses ’’a’’ and ’’v’’ of Article 168 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are ongoing.
It is worth noting that earlier, individuals were detained for attempting to sell 22 acres of state-owned land for $52,000 in the Furqat district of the Fergana region.
