18758Uzbek professional boxer Shahram Giyasov spoke about his promise to his late daughter to become a champion in an interview with Matchroom Boxing.
“I dedicate my upcoming fight to my daughter. Of course, her death is heartbreaking. I loved her very much, and I still miss her. I promised my daughter and my parents that I would become a champion,” said Giyasov.
Shahram Giyasov, who is ranked first in the welterweight category, has participated in 16 professional boxing matches, winning all of them.
Giyasov will hold his next fight tomorrow, April 13, Tashkent time, against Argentine Franco Maximiliano Ocampo in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
For your information, Giyasov's 2-year-old daughter passed away on March 19 of this year.
It should also be noted that it was previously reported that Giyasov participated in a "clash of eyes" before tomorrow's fight.
