Uzbekistan cooperates with the USA on the training of military personnel

Uzbekistan reached an agreement with the United States to expand cooperation in the field of the training of military personnel.  This is reported by the Press Service under the National Guard.

On 23 August, a delegation from the United States House of Representatives led by Congressmen Trent Kelly and Darin LaHood met with the Commander of the National Guard, Major General Rustam Jo’rayev.

During the dialogue, the issues of military cooperation of the National Guard of Uzbekistan with the US side, including the development of bilateral relations with the US National Guard of the state of Mississippi, were discussed.

The fact is that in March of the current year, during his visit to Uzbekistan, the Commander of the Mississippi State National Guard, Major General J. Boyles, met with the Commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan, Major -General Jo’rayev.

 It was noted in the dialogue that a number of training and practical exercises have been successfully conducted within the framework of mutually beneficial cooperation, and the National Guard servicemen have improved their skills in training courses and seminars with the participation of US specialists.

During the meeting, agreements were reached on the maintenance of public order, prevention of emergencies of a natural and man-made cases, and expansion of cooperation in the field of military personnel training.

It should be recalled that earlier the delegation from the House of Representatives of the US Congress, headed by Congressmen Trent Kelly and Darin LaHood, communicated with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Norboyeva.
