In Uzbekistan, truck drivers who drive in the far-left lane without permission will now face fines. A recent amendment to the Code of Administrative Responsibility specifies the penalties.

Under the updated Article 128, trucks in the far-left lane of the road—except for situations like turning left or making a U-turn—will incur a fine of 0.5 times the base calculation amount (BCA) 187,500 soums.

For repeat offenses within a year, fines increase: the second violation results in a fine equal to the BCA (375,000 soums), the third offense carries a fine of 3 times the BCA (1,125,000 soums), and the fourth and subsequent violations result in fines of 4 times the BCA (1,500,000 soums) or a six-month suspension of the driver's license.

Additionally, administrative responsibility was recently introduced for scooter and e-scooter drivers. Violations, such as ignoring traffic signals or disregarding road signs, now result in fines equal to one-third of the BCA (123,300 soums).
