On September 17, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Yulduz Usmonova was honored with the "Stars of the Commonwealth" award in Russia. This was reported by TACC.

The XVI Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the Commonwealth of Independent States is currently taking place in Ufa, Russian Federation, from September 17-19. Alongside Yulduz Usmonova, Azerbaijani artist Sakit Mamedov and Kazakh actor Tungishbay Jamankulov also received the award in the category "For Outstanding Contribution to Culture and Art."

Established in 2009, this award is given annually to representatives from CIS countries for significant achievements in the humanitarian field that have contributed to the development of their respective states and the commonwealth as a whole. The prize amount is 2 million rubles, and this year, 11 candidates from 7 countries were considered.

Additionally, on April 18 of this year, Yulduz Usmonova and a group of artists were awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Tajikistan at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe, during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan.

It is worth noting that Yulduz Usmonova’s traditional concert scheduled for September 14 in New York was canceled due to protests by the Jewish diaspora in America.
