Videos have surfaced on social media showing several traffic patrol officers pulling a driver out of a car, twisting his arm, and pinning him to the ground. It was revealed that on April 5, in Tashkent, a Malibu driver traveling at high speed dragged a traffic officer on the car’s hood. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, according to the city’s Internal Affairs Department Traffic Safety Division.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Nukus and Abdulla Qahhor streets in the Mirobod district. The driver was operating a Malibu-2 model car with removed license plates, a special antenna, and a siren device installed while traveling at high speed. His actions endangered both his own life and the lives of others.

Additionally, the driver ignored multiple stop signals from traffic patrol officers and continued driving. Despite seeing a junior sergeant approaching, he did not stop and struck the officer with his car, subsequently dragging him along Nukus Street on the hood.

The injured traffic officer received first aid from medical professionals. A criminal case has been opened by the Mirobod district prosecutor’s office under Article 219 of the Criminal Code (resistance to a government official or a person performing civic duties).

“Preliminary investigation actions are currently underway. All drivers are urged to comply with established regulations,” the statement reads.

Previously, it was reported that in Andijan, a drunk driver who ran over a traffic officer was stripped of his driver’s license.
