14474In the territory of Uzbekistan, payments can be made with torn, patched, painted and half money. This is provided for in the appendix of the decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the approval of the instruction on the organization of cash desks in commercial banks, collection of cash and other valuables" and the criteria for determining the validity of banknotes and coins of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the requirements of the decision, all economic entities operating in the territory of Uzbekistan must accept the following banknotes with appropriate security marks for payment without any hindrance and hand them over to banks as receipt money:
• Banknotes that have holes or tears in any part, paper that is worn out (thinned due to friction and becomes soft paper) and has stains and various pictures and inscriptions;
• money torn into pieces and glued (if the parts of the money undoubtedly belong to one banknote);
• money that has been spilled with dyes or acid, is discolored, burnt, painted or scratched;
• Banknotes that retain at least 55% of their total volume.
"However, if customers present to the bank's cash register banknotes with appropriate security marks, but seriously damaged (in particular, a large part, i.e., at least 40-45% of the total volume of the banknote is missing), special cells should be used to determine their validity". in the said decision.
Instead of information, special cells provided by the law are used to identify the preserved part of the banknote.
