The Emperor of Japan, Naruhito, awarded Abdulaziz Kamilov, the special representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on foreign policy issues, with the Order of the Rising Sun. This was reported by NHK.

It is said that the award was presented to Abdulaziz Kamilov in a ceremony at the Emperor's residence in Tokyo. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also participated in the event.

"I express my deep gratitude to all of you for your many years of dedication to your duties, your commitment to your country, society, and people," said the Emperor. He then individually addressed each of the awardees.

For information, the Order of the Rising Sun, awarded to Abdulaziz Kamilov for his long-term contribution to strengthening friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Japan, is one of Japan's oldest awards. This order, considered the country's highest honor, has been in existence since 1875.
