6585Construction work on an eight-story residential building on Kamolot Street in Yangiyol, Tashkent region, has been stopped due to quality concerns. The regional inspection authority overseeing construction and housing services reported that the building, designed with 48 apartments, was not being built according to construction standards. Among the issues cited were improper bricklaying in partition walls and the absence of required construction materials, revealing a failure in both technical and internal quality control at the site.
The inspection authority has directed responsible parties to address these deficiencies and imposed administrative fines. Construction on the building will remain suspended until a thorough inspection is conducted to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Previously, construction was similarly halted at the student dormitory for Tashkent State Agrarian University, which was intended to house 400 students, due to substandard work.
