Earlier reports indicated that a citizen, born in 1980 and residing in the Tuyabuguz neighborhood of the Yangiyol district in Tashkent region, had been keeping over 30 Asian cobra snakes without proper permits and released them into the open.

However, Bobur Tolaganov, the press secretary for the General Directorate of Internal Affairs, responded to the situation, clarifying that the snakes were not intentionally released into the open.

According to the district's internal affairs department, an investigation revealed that the reality differs from what was circulated on social media. Contrary to reports, approximately 30 snakes were not released. Only 4 snakes had escaped from their feeding area, and all were quickly recaptured.

"The regional internal affairs department is currently investigating the situation. Additional information regarding the outcome will be provided," the statement concluded.
