Environmental inspectors attacked by unknown individuals in Yangiyul

Unknown individuals assaulted state inspectors from the Yangiyul district department of the Tashkent region's Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change while they were on duty. The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change reported the incident.

On January 4, the head of the district ecology department, A.N., and chief specialist, A.J., were conducting a routine inspection in the “Samarkand” MFY area of Yangiyul district when four unknown individuals in a “Jiguli” car blocked their path and obstructed their work.

When the inspectors showed their service certificates to introduce themselves, the attackers proceeded to assault them, inflicting various bodily injuries and damaging their clothing.

The inspectors received first aid at the Yangiyul district central hospital. Their condition is reported as moderate.

“The incident is currently under investigation by the Yangiyul district police department,” the report stated.

It is also worth noting that a similar incident occurred earlier in Margilan, Fergana region, where a quarrel broke out between a citizen and a supervisor over unpaid drinking water charges.
