Uzbekistan has climbed two spots in the latest FIFA rankings update

On February 15, the first FIFA ranking update for 2024 was released. Uzbekistan's national team, which reached the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup, now sits in 66th place in the updated rankings.

Under the guidance of Srechko Katanets, the Uzbek team has improved its position by two places compared to last month. Among Asian teams, Japan remains the top performer. However, Japan dropped one spot to 18th place following a disappointing performance in the continental championship.

Qatar, the winner of the Asian Cup, made the most significant leap among Asian teams. They surged 21 places to claim the 37th spot in the rankings.

The top ten positions remain unchanged, with the Argentine national team maintaining its lead.
