Heavy rain is expected on June 12-13, potentially causing floods in the mountainous and hilly areas of Uzbekistan, according to Uzgidromet.
The affected areas include:
- Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqorgon districts.
- Fergana region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, and Beshariq districts.
- Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qorgontepa, Pakhtaobod, Izboskan, Khojaobod, Marhamat districts, and Khonobod city.
Residents, vacationers, and drivers in these regions are advised to take precautionary measures.
"There is a possibility of rainwater accumulation in the Fergana Valley regions, which may lead to flooding," the report stated.
