Uzhydromet issues urgent report to the residents

Due to the precipitation expected from 29 July to 1 August of the current year, floods may occur in some regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Hydrometeorological Service Center.
According to information, due to the rains expected from 29 July to 1 August, in the highlands and mountainous areas:
Tashkent region: in Okhangaron, Bustanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Ortachirchik, Yukori Chirchik districts and Angren, Almalyk cities;
Namangan region: in Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortok, Chust, Namangan, Yangikurgan districts;
Fergana region: in Sokh, Shokhimardon, Fergana, and Besharyk districts, floods may occur.
"Citizens living in mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers travelling in mountainous areas are requested to take precautionary measures," the report states.
