It is reported that a DIA officer beat and killed the defendant's brother in Bekobod.

It is said that the defendant's brother died after being beaten by police officers.

On June 19 of this year, in the Bekobod city court handling criminal cases, citizens D.Yu. and D. Yu. were forcibly taken to the DIA building by officers after protesting a court decision and causing a disturbance.

"As a result of being beaten by the IIB officers, the citizen born in 1981, D.Yu., succumbed to his injuries," the report stated.

Bobur Tolaganov, the press secretary for the Head of the General Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Tashkent region, responded to the incident.

He stated that investigative actions were taken against the 33-year-old citizen H.Yu., and the collected documents were sent for a thorough review.

On June 19, during the hearing of this criminal case by the Bekobod city court, the brothers of the accused H.Yu., D.Yu. (born in 1981) and D.Yu. (born in 1978), dissatisfied with the prison sentence imposed on their brother, caused a public disturbance by starting a fight in the courtroom.

To restore order and ensure the safety of citizens, regional internal affairs officers were called to the courtroom. Three DIA prevention inspectors resolved the quarrel and took the participants to the DIA building to prepare documents related to the incident.

At the entrance to the DIA building, D.Yu.'s health deteriorated, and he lost consciousness.

"Officers transported the citizen to the city hospital in a service vehicle. During the examination by the medical staff, D.Yu. was found to have died. A forensic examination has been ordered to determine the cause of death. The prosecutor's office is monitoring the situation, and investigations are ongoing. Additional information will be provided following the forensic medical examination," the statement said.
