Uzbekistan's gold and currency reserves increased

As of 1 July, of the current year, the gross international reserves of the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 35 billion 583.5 million dollars.  This is 179.8 million dollars more than the index in June.  This was reported by the Central Bank.

The physical balance of gold in reserves is 11.7 million troy ounces.  Its financial value increased from 21.1 billion dollars to 21.2 billion dollars.

International reserves consist of foreign currency funds, special drawing rights, reserve positions in the International Monetary Fund, and gold.  Foreign currency mainly includes cash held in banks.

For reference, the gross international reserves of the Republic of Uzbekistan have amounted to 444.3 million dollars or increased by 1.3 percent from the beginning of 2022.  The impact of the increase in the price of gold from $1799.25 to $1813.60 at the beginning of the year made up 168 million dollars.
