The Statistics Agency reported the primary causes of death among Uzbeks from January to June 2024.

The data indicates that the total number of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants was 238.6 for men and 201.6 for women. Of these deaths, 58.4% were due to circulatory system diseases, 9.4% to tumors, 6.6% to respiratory diseases, 5.3% to accidents, poisoning, and injuries, 4.1% to digestive system diseases, and 1.1% to infectious and parasitic diseases. Additionally, 15.1% of deaths were attributed to other causes.

The highest percentage of deaths occurred in the Samarkand region (10.9%), followed by the Fergana region (10.4%), Tashkent city (9.7%), Andijan region (9.3%), and Kashkadarya region (9.1%).
