Under the leadership of the staff of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan, a criminal wanted for involvement in religious-extremist activities was brought from Chisinau to Tashkent.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that the arrested person hid from the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and joined an international extremist organization, where he participated in training sessions on committing and preparing terrorist acts.  He also became one of the leaders of the organization.

“The arrest of the criminal was made thanks to the joint efforts of Tashkent and Chisinau National Central Bureaus of Interpol and quick information exchange,” the report says.

After the issue of extradition was positively resolved by the competent authorities of Moldova, the wanted person was handed over to the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan to answer before the court.
