Uzbek entrepreneur sues “Ozodlik”

Tukhfatkhoja Anvarkhojayev, the director of Ultimo Group Limited, a company engaged in the gas resources trade in Uzbekistan, has sued "Ozodlik" radio and the journalist of this media outlet who published an investigation about his company. This information was reported to QALAMPIR.UZ by Zokir Qoziboyev, the press secretary of the Tashkent city courts.
It was reported that the case is being heard in the Shaykhontohur district court concerning civil matters. The entrepreneur demands a retraction and 100 million soums in compensation.
The court has announced a recess until July 19 due to insufficient evidence regarding the case. It was mentioned that Matluba Qayumova, who owns 50% of the shares of Ultimo Group Limited, and representatives of "Ozodlik" radio will also be involved in the process.
