Snipers of the National Guard of Uzbekistan won the international sniper competition “Sharp Edge-2025,” which took place in China from July 12 to 20. This was reported by the press service of the National Guard.

The competition was held in the city of Urumqi, with 45 teams from 25 countries taking part. It featured four categories, with rankings determined separately for each discipline.

Teams from China, Vietnam, South Korea, Belarus, Russia, Spain, Libya, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Hungary, and Cuba also participated in the tournament.

In the two most challenging stages of the competition, which demanded high combat readiness and precision—namely the complex sniper exercise (eliminating 24 targets at varying distances from seven firing positions located 1,200 meters away) and the urban sniper exercise (engaging six targets at distances of 100 to 650 meters from a tall building in a sniper pair)—Uzbek snipers achieved absolute victory, taking first place with record-breaking results.

In the remaining disciplines, including individual and extreme sniper exercises, they also secured prize positions. By the end of the competition, the Uzbek team had won eight medals, ten diplomas, and valuable prizes. They were also recognized as the best team in the most difficult categories, earning the competition cup in the rapid technical and tactical discipline.

It should be noted that earlier, the Uzbek Ministry of Defense team set a record and won the VIII International “Team Spirit” competition held in Pakistan.
