Uzbekistan's man chess players clinch bronze medal at Olympiad

On September 22, during the 11th round of the Chess Olympiad in Budapest, Uzbekistan's men's team secured a bronze medal after defeating France.

Nodirbek Abdusattarov, Nodirbek Yakubboyev, and Javahir Sindorov all drew their matches, while Shamsiddin Vahidov claimed victory.

The Uzbekistan women's team also achieved success, winning against Turkey. Nodira Nodirjonova and Nilufar Yakubboyeva both secured wins, Umida Omonova drew her match, and Afroza Hamdamova unfortunately lost.

In the final standings, the Uzbekistan men's team finished third, tying on points with the USA, who placed second due to tiebreaker criteria.

The women's team placed 12th, trailing behind teams from China, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, and Argentina based on additional indicators.

Individually, Nodirbek Abdusattarov earned a silver medal in the 1st board category, while Shamsiddin Vahidov took gold in the 4th board. Nodira Nodirjonova also shone, winning a bronze medal in her board category.
