The number of Uzbekistani grandmasters has increased by one more person

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) awarded the title of international grandmaster to the Uzbekistani chess player Abdimalik Abdisalimov.  The “UzChess” project announced this on its Telegram page.

The Grandmaster title was established by FIDE in 1949.  Men have been awarded this title since 1950, and women since 1976, for their high achievements in international competitions.

For information, Abdisalimov from Abdima was born in 2002.  He won the title of FIDE Master in 2015 and International Chess Master in 2019.
