Uzbek boxer secures IBF Intercontinental belt

Muhammad Shekhov secured the IBF Intercontinental belt after defeating his opponent at the latest professional boxing event organized by "RCC Boxing" in Chelyabinsk, Russia.

Four Uzbek boxers participated in the tournament, with two competing for the IBF Intercontinental belt in their respective weight classes. In the second lightest weight division, Muhammad Shekhov (15-0-1) faced Zong Liu (China, 19-2-0), one of Asia's top boxing talents. After a full ten rounds, Shekhov won by unanimous decision, earning the IBF Intercontinental belt.

Unfortunately, the other Uzbek boxers were defeated by their Russian opponents in full-length matches decided by the judges. In the second middleweight fight for the IBF Intercontinental belt, Ulugbek Sobirov (14-4-0) faced Pavel Silyagin (Russia, 15-0-1), in the first welterweight division Jahangir Rasulov (7-1-1) fought against Ivan Kozlovsky (10-0-0), and in the middleweight category Bahromjon Fazilov (10-4-3) was defeated by Jambulat Bijamov (Russia, 2-0-0).
