The inflow of money to Uzbekistan has increased – Central Bank

9732In the first quarter of 2022, cross-border remittances to Uzbekistan amounted to $1.47 billion. This is 3 percent (49 million dollars) more than in 2021. This is reported by the press service of the Central Bank.
In the first quarter of 2022, commercial banks acquired a total of $2.11 billion in foreign currency from individuals. This is 38 percent more than a year earlier, or $585 million.
However, in the same period, a total of $1.73 billion in foreign currency was sold to individuals through commercial banks. This represents a 69 percent increase ($709 million) over 2021.
