Those attempting to import drugs into Uzbekistan were apprehended

Narcotics crossing the state border from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were intercepted, as reported by the State Security Service.

As part of the crackdown on drug smuggling, multiple illegal incidents were halted through search operations conducted by military personnel of the border troops of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In one instance, 980 grams of heroin were seized from Tajikistan by unidentified individuals at the "Uzbek-Tajik" state border near Chep village, Urgut district, Samarkand region. The substance was discovered and formalized according to procedure, with ongoing efforts to identify the owners.

In the Andijan region, a previously convicted individual born in 1996, residing in Karasuv, Kurgantepa district, attempted to smuggle 30,000 units of the drug "Nervegesic" containing the potent active ingredient "Pregabalin" from the Kyrgyz Republic and was apprehended while illegally crossing the border.

Similar violations were observed in the Namangan region, where two local citizens born in 1992 and 1993 were caught smuggling 3,121 units of "Tropikamid" strong drugs from the Kyrgyz Republic into the territory of Kosonsoy district. Additionally, two of their accomplices, born in 1988 and 1993, were detained following due process.

Criminal cases have been initiated for all three incidents, and the perpetrators have been subjected to preventive imprisonment measures.
