It is revealed how many parents are dissatisfied with schools in Uzbekistan

11587In Uzbekistan, 38.4 percent of parents said that they are not satisfied with the level of education provided in schools. This was studied by experts of the Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research.
According to the results, 38.4 percent of parents in Uzbekistan are not satisfied with the level of education provided in schools. 12.8 percent of parents believe that the education level provided to their children is high, and 48.8 percent think that it is sufficient for future professions. Many parents actively use tutoring services.
According to 61.1 percent of parents, the intensity of the study load for the child is at an acceptable level. 25.1 percent of parents consider the study load high, and 13.8 percent low. According to 59.1 percent of parents, the curriculum of schools includes subjects that can be studied independently outside of school.
In addition, students in this country study much more than in other countries. The average weekly workload for them is 28.2 hours. However, it was observed that students study less in mathematics than in other subjects.
Also, according to the curriculum, more time is allocated to social and applied sciences in republican schools. The teaching hours for teachers are not significantly different from those in other countries, but the teaching days are much longer. The analysis revealed that the number of students per teacher is 11.9.
It should be recalled that on 29 December 2022, in an informal dialogue with teachers, it was reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev touched on the issue of reducing some subjects at the expense of introducing modern subjects to school education.
