3 Uzbek universities included in the ranking of the best universities in the world

20707Three higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have been listed among the world’s most prestigious universities for the first time, according to the British organization "Times Higher Education," as reported by "Dunyo."
The National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" ranked 301–400 in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Statistics, and 501–600 in Engineering.
The National University of Uzbekistan, named after Mirzo Ulugbek, placed in the 601–800 range in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Statistics. Meanwhile, the Tashkent University of Information Technologies ranked 601+ in Education and 1001+ in Computer Science and Programming Technologies.
“These achievements reflect how Uzbekistan’s higher education system, particularly in engineering and the natural sciences, has gained recognition internationally,” the report stated.
Globally, the University of California, Harvard, Stanford, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology lead the rankings in natural sciences. Oxford, Cambridge, and MIT dominate the list for IT excellence.
The Times Higher Education ranking evaluates universities in 11 categories, including teaching quality, graduate prospects, and research impact, highlighting institutions’ contributions to global academia.
