Earthquake recorded in Uzbekistan: Epicenter located in Kyrgyzstan

On May 11 at 03:03 AM Tashkent time, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in Namangan and Andijan regions, according to the Republican Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring.

The earthquake’s tremors were felt across several districts in Uzbekistan. In Pakhtaobod district, shaking measured 2-3 points, while Izboskan and Uchkorgan districts recorded 2-point tremors. The epicenter of the earthquake, located in Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan, experienced a 4-point intensity.

The epicenter was situated 263 km southeast of Tashkent, at a depth of 5 km.

Previously, on April 19 at 11:47 AM, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan, with its tremors felt in Uzbekistan.
