An abnormally high rate of heat is recorded in Uzbekistan

Yesterday 29 June 29 the temperature in the Navoi region (oblast) rose to 47.1 degrees.  This was reported by a specialist of the Hydrometeorological Service Center Erkin Abdulakhatov.

At 13:20pm, at the “Mashikuduk” meteorological station the air temperature is reported to have risen to 47.1 degrees.

At the weather station “Mubarak” in the Kashkadarya region at 16:20pm local time, the air temperature reached 45.9 degrees.  The air temperature at the meteorological station “Karshi” was +43.4.

At 16:00pm the air temperature was +46.6 degrees at the weather station “Ugitma” in the Bukhara region and +46 degrees at the agrometeorological post “Oqoltin” in the Syrdarya region.

It should be noted that meteorological observations in Uzbekistan recorded the highest temperature (48-49 degrees) in the Kyzylkum desert (July 1983) and the territory of Termez (June-July 1914).

The maximum temperature was recorded at 44.6 degrees in Tashkent on 18 July 1997.
