On May 26, the group stage draw for the Futsal World Championship, set to be held in Uzbekistan, took place for the first time in history.
From September 14 to October 6, Uzbekistan will host the Futsal World Championship. The draw ceremony occurred at Registan Square in Old Samarkand, with participants including representatives from FIFA, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, and the country's football association leadership.
Following the ceremony, the teams were assigned to their groups. Uzbekistan's national team will face Paraguay, Costa Rica, and the Netherlands in Group A. The opening match, featuring Uzbekistan against the Netherlands, will take place on September 14 at Humo Arena in Tashkent.
