Car plates worth 86.7 billion soms have been sold in Uzbekistan in three months

Between January-March of the current year, more than 40 thousand car numbers worth 86.7 billion som have been sold through the electronic trading system avtoraqam.uzex.uz. The Commodity Exchange press service reported this.

It is noted that the sales of license plates have increased by 27% in quantity and 40% in volume compared to last year. The difference between the average starting price and the sale price of the car numbers sold has totaled at 47%.

For reference, 80% of the proceeds from the sale of car plates on internet auctions is directed to the State Budget of Uzbekistan, 20% – to the Special Fund for the development of material and technical base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, material incentives and other expenses.

From January-March of this year, the total volume of contracts on all trading platforms of the Republican Commodity Exchange of Uzbekistan increased by 50.6% compared to the first quarter of 2021 and almost tripled compared to the corresponding period of 2019 and amounted to 26.7 trillion som.
