In Uzbekistan, potential changes regarding pension amounts, application procedures, and length of service are under consideration

During a meeting of the working group in the Senate's Committee on Science, Education, and Health Affairs, a proposed law was deliberated upon. This law aims to amend existing legal documents to enhance the social protection of citizens.

Modifications to the "On Rent" law are underway to eliminate the provision linking the termination of a lease agreement to the tenant's disability.

Furthermore, adjustments to the "On State Pension Provision of Citizens" law are in progress. This includes recognizing work performed by individuals serving sentences in penal institutions as part of their work experience for pension eligibility, provided social tax was paid during this period.

A new provision allows citizens to apply for pension appointments through state service centers or a single interactive state service portal, streamlining the application process.

Additionally, the law specifies that the pension amount must not fall below the officially defined minimum consumption expenses.
