In which region of Uzbekistan are families breaking up the most?

In the last 6 months, it became known that families are breaking up in Fergana region, Tashkent city, Andijan region.  This was reported to QALAMPIR.UZ by the information service of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that in January-June of this year, the number of divorces in Uzbekistan was 25,400.  Of these, 15.3 thousand (60.0%) decisions were recorded in urban areas, 10.1 thousand (40.0%) in rural areas.

The number of divorces by region is the highest in Fergana region – 3,107, in Tashkent – 2,989, and in Andijan region – 2,854.  The lowest rate was in Navoi region – 755, in Syrdarya region – 796, and in Jizzakh region – 873.

Also, the number of divorces from marriages without children was 6,730, the number of divorces from marriages with 1 child was 13,186, and the number of divorces from marriages with 2 or more children was 5,505.

The average age of divorce is 37.7 years for men and 33.2 years for women.  The largest share of divorced women fell under the age of 35.
