Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Mansur Ravshanov has passed away at the age of 88, the Ministry of Culture's press service reported.
Mansur Temirovich Ravshanov was born on July 4, 1937, in the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region. He graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Theater and Fine Arts in 1961.
Throughout his career, he staged numerous notable plays, including "Alpomish", "Boy ila Khizmatchi", "Maysaraning Ishi", "Jononga Bordim Bir Kecha", "Alisher Navoi', "Parvona", "Nurkhan", "Ajab Savdolar", "Kelinlar Isyoni", "O‘z Arizangizni Yozing", "Makr va Muhabbat", "Momo Yer", "Oq Kema", "Kelin va Kuyov", "Amir Temur va Yildirim Boyazid", and "Alpomishning qaytishi".
Ravshanov began his artistic journey at the Surkhandarya Regional Musical Drama Theater, where he served as an actor, then a director, and later as chief director. He also played a key role in the establishment of the Surkhandarya Regional Puppet Theater, leaving a lasting legacy in the cultural life of the region.
