Uzbekistan’s mortality forecast for 2025: Key statistics

Tashkent city leads all regions of Uzbekistan in life expectancy at birth, reaching 76.8 years. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.

As of 2024, the average life expectancy at birth across the country stands at 75.1 years. The lowest figures were recorded in Syrdarya region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, both at 72.2 years.

Other regional life expectancy figures include:

- Fergana region: 76.6 years
- Bukhara region: 76.3 years
- Jizzakh region: 76 years
- Navoi region: 75.8 years
- Tashkent region: 75.1 years
- Samarkand region: 74.8 years
- Namangan and Khorezm regions: 74.6 years
- Kashkadarya region: 74.4 years
- Surkhandarya region: 74 years
- Andijan region: 73.7 years

The data highlights significant regional disparities in health and living standards across Uzbekistan.
